Change is a good thing right?
After getting used to the new situation, you quickly forgot about the old days and settled into to enjoying the improved benefits and perks. Maybe there were a few hiccups along the way, but all things considered, it was worth it!
Sound familiar? Well guess what… it’s going to happen again!
Yes, that’s right, DanStorey.com is having a makeover. In order to make my site clearer and appealing to more people, I have decided that things need to change a little around here. I will still be writing about personal development, success strategies and other such topics, but that will be accessible on my dedicated blog area, cunningly entitled danstorey.com/blog (clever huh!).
You will also still find my Channel Swim blog at DanStorey.com/ChannelSwim (which is live already) where you will be able to hear how I am getting on with training, fund raising and charity work. I have already updated the site with details about my chosen charities. Click here to check it out now!
So when is all this going to happen? Well I am just designing the new site at the moment, so you can expect it to be live by next weekend, and I will be inviting feedback of course. I thought I would just give you a little prior warning before you stumble upon the new site and get a little confused (I know I would be!).
Have a great week!

Channel Swim 2009 – It’s Official!

Finally, its official. Everything is in place now for my challenge to swim the English Channel in August 2009… well not quite everything, but enough to get started!
I have decided to set myself one of the most physically demanding challenges on the planet, to swim from England to France, in one go, without armbands or a rubber ring! This is widely considered the toughest open-water swim possible.
So why this challenge? Well, I believe that anything is possible if you choose to focus your energies on it and commit to doing the behind-the-scenes work that precedes all public victories. I also am passionate about teaching people about the potential that lies untapped within and this is a great metaphor to help them realise it!
I have set up another diary website at www.danstorey.com/channelswim which will give the reader updates on my training progress, charity events and fundraisers as well as much more information about the channel swim and all the elements that go into a successful crossing! Click here now to check out more about the challenge and my reasons behind doing it!
If you would like to support this, please email info@danstorey.com with more about how you would like to be involved, either in direct support, sponsorship, fundraising or any other way you feel you can assist.
On another note, congratulations go to Andrea Smart who won the Free Website giveaway over the weekend. Andrea is an author writing about personal development and needs help publicising her book. I am excited to be able to help! Visit the post and the winning response here!
